So I randomly heard about this new Disney Online team that is going to make some new Disney-based online community sites and games and things (I’m betting on there being a Disney MMO along the lines of Second Life but with less sex in the near future), during which time I also heard about DisneyFairies.com. Being the Tinkerbell addict I am, I checked it out, and cackled wildly to learn that you get to make your own fairies.

I immediately commanded Cyber34, who was stuck with me in Skype, to join me in making a fairy and posting it here. So here’s mine. She’s pretty hot, isn’t she? And you now have her address– 48 Amber Pumpkin Grove –so you can even stalk her. Rawr.

NOW IT IS YOUR TURN, PEOPLE. Get to it.

Gia and I were talking earlier about other features for the site before launch, not content but features, and i had suggested a download page. As she is now snorkling, I am now browsing through Wordpress’s Add on and Widget directory, and found a few solid good ones i’ll be running by Gia when she gets back.

Search Here and comment with any things you might think be good, and why.

As a payment, have this video.

Obama Is Not The Pro-Gaming Candidate

It distresses me how many people I’ve come across in the fandom who are voting for Obama almost exclusively because Hillary “wanted to ban video games” (protip: she actually just wanted to mandate enforcement of the ESRB. And yes, MPAA movie ratings are not legally enforced, but that’s because the movie industry self-enforces them; the game industry has been very bad about that. I’m not saying I liked her plan, but she did not want to BAN video games).

…And yet, what do I read today? GamePolitics.com has compiled an article outlining the various ways that the Obama campaign has used video games as a something used by underachieving kids and lazy parents– and this attitude has been apparent as far back as April 2006.

So, if you are one of the morons people who would actually make video game rating enforcement your TOP PRIORITY in an election while we’re in the middle of a war in Iraq and on the brink of a recession, don’t trust Obama to be the protector of gamers.
