Soul Calibur IV first impression

I have now played Soul Calibur 4 and I can safely say I didn’t like it all that much. I was never an SC fan anyway, but I had to play the fourth.
The arcade fighting is there. It’s typical SC with the typical 3D fighter controls. The characters from the old games are there, but there seem to be too many copies. There are at least 1 or 2 copies of almost every character.
The story mode is neat, but the story itself is all over the place. Each character has his/her own ending, but the endings for each just seem so random. The special characters (unlocked through story mode) do not have animated endings. They have only some pictures kind of floating in the background all montage-y with a voiceover.
Speaking of the voices, the english dub for this game is aweful. None of the characters seem quite right, and the announcer is overly dramatic as always. Flip the language setting over to Japanese and prepare to feel right at home.
That pretty much sums up the game. Another SC with some extra characters and a character creator mode (which I just cannot get into). Also, lots and lots of jubblies. LOTS OF JUBBLIES!
