I am one happy gamer.
As much as I state it, I love fighting games. But one thing in particular has always bothered me. I have always leaned toward the 2d realm of fighters. 3d is is fun, but I grew up on a steady diet of Street Fighter, King of Fighters, Samurai Showdown, etc. (Never jumped on the Mortal Kombat bandwagon.) I honestly thought the days of a 2d revival were a faint and dying hope. Soul Calibur, Tekken, Virtua Fighter was where everyone else was. Then I see the announcement for Street Fighter 4. NOT a rumor. NOT a on a developers wish list. Honest to god new Street Fighter. Good stuffs after the jump.
Then we get into the current 2d torch bearer, Guilty Gear. This little gem isn’t played nearly enough, and I feared it was doomed to obscurity. Then I hear of this new thing called Blazblue. The torch is passed, and I have reason to trade my left kidney to buy a PS3.
And let’s not forget the glory days of Street Fighter. Has the game always looked a little too old school for you? Now you have no more excuses not to play. Street Fighter HD Remix is headed to a ceartain Microsoft console soon! I think i’ve died and gone to heaven.

Slayer approves.
