I remember when this site was important and awesome.

It’s been quite some time since I posted anything, and I think it’s time to just back on the failtrain.  While school, work, and vidjya games had me wrapped up last month, I still had time to check the internetz and got bored of that.

Speaking of school, I had to do an introductory speech on a person, fictinional or not.  That one person had to be our dear friend Dr. Gordon Freeman.  While I did a really crappy job on the speech, I learned some things about Gordon, Barney, and the entire universe itself.  That’s all the boring, dry, and informative stuff that I know you care nothing about.  Here’s the juice, fun stuff that I stumbled across on my joourney for more info on the Free Man:

As I’ve told many of you, my laptop went kaput. I am in the process of procuring a new one, and it’ll take about two weeks until I’m able to really post again. I know what you’re saying “Hey, Sensei, you’re posting now!” Yea. I am. I’m also at school in one of the very rare breaks that I get. So, I won’t be posting until my new laptop gets in. Just so ya know.

Yes, waiting is incredibly boring but I don’t have anything else to do at the moment. I have a scheduled appointment with my dentist. I forgot the previous one because they though that it would be a good idea to send me a letter about it 2 months in advance and then just stay quiet. Of course I’m going to forget it and stow away the letter somewhere during that time. So I called them up and got a new time today instead and now I sit here at the library writing this while waiting.

I don’t know where I’m going with this but I thought I should make a post at least so it doesn’t seem like I introduce myself and then just disappear.

Library computers suck. Especially when they force you to use IE6 at 800×600 when the screen is made for 1024×768.

Hello there. I though that I should introduce myself since I’m a new writer for Jerkpop. My name is Okänd (pronounced like ocean with a d on the end (ocean-d) and with a longer o) and I’m from Sweden.

I’m a fearsome Viking that recently went to pillage the Bahamas.

I scared them by saying I would return and steal everything again if anyone there told anyone I was there. That’s why nobody has heard anything about it until now.

Look, I promise we’re not dead. Unfortunately, it seems 90% me and Kuro now (80% Kuro), but I promise it’ll change soon. I’ve been struck with a crazy amount of obligations I have to see to for my graduate program. I promise it’ll be over soon, just a few more tutoring sessions and classroom observations. In other news, the kid I’m tutoring says today, “I like things like… don’t tell my mom… Bleach, Naruto, and Yu-Gi-Oh. His mother has powerful faith, and thusly won’t let this kid read anything manga related. Sad day. We’ll be reading manga in our tutoring sessions from now on, as it’s what really engages him.

OH LAWD THEY ARE OUT TO GET US!!!!!!!!

Why does fail always seem to happen to me?

Sunday. SUNDAY! It’s my one day off. My one day to get more than 5 hours of sleep, and what do i do? After going to bed around my normal time, 2, without being forcably woken up, i’d expect to wake up at 10 at the earliest (run on sentence FTW!) BUT… NO, SOMEHOW, SOMEFUCKINGHOW I WAKE UP AT 6:34. GETTING BACK TO SLEEP ISNT A FUCKING OPTION! Because I suck like this.
