No, really, this cute little video warmed my cold and bitter heart when I watched it. Maybe other species of animals have some promise to being rulers of Earth should humans stop being in control.
As I mentioned in my last post, I am in love with the Persona series, though I must admit I wasn’t too captivated with the SMT games until Persona 3. I am also aware that many of our “readers” (a term I use loosely) also have a love for this game. Upon asking Cyber when Persona 4 was coming out, I realized that I haven’t seen much coverage for the sixth title (despite it being number 4) in what is becoming one of the best JRPG franchises, in my opinion, so I went undercover on the interwebs to discover what can be discovered about this game. Findings after the jump.
EVO, the longest running fighting game tournament in the world, started this morning at 9:00 A.M. The games running are: Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection, Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike, Capcom Vs. SNK 2, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo, And Marvel Vs. Capcom 2. Jump for more win.
Yet another article from IGN, new Rhythm Tengoku DS gameplay videos. I cannot express in words how good or how much I loved Rhythm Tengoku for the GBA. It was like Wario died, went to Japan to get his master’s degree in music, and then made another game. It’s just so much better than Warioware is. I’ll stop now, just go get it and play it.
EVO 2008, for those of you who don’t know, is the largest annual fighting game tournament that is held in Las Vegas. This weekend (same time as Otakon) is when the action begins. The world’s best fighters, and I use that term very lightly and in a video game sense, will be there to compete in SF3, MvC2, Tekken 5, SSBB, SF2 Turbo, and Capcom vs. SNK 2. They are also having demos of new fighters such as BlazBlue, SF4, and SF2 HD Remix (which we will now refer to as SUPER street fighter 2 turbo hd remix WITH SPINNING RIMS Deluxe edition Hyper aniversary collection 10th edition redux the 7th addon the old generation collectors set Special crazy ultra evolution 2006 the movie Zero New and improved taste extra flavor remake).
Wish I could be there to at least see the best beat the hell out of the best. Another time…
Regular visitors to the Japanator IRC channel will know that I’m always seemingly getting tangled up with a few individual females. So, in consideration of that, I’ve opened a new little feature of myself that will have me introducing my favourite females of all time. Of course, by female, I don’t mean the ones I get tangled up with. Who I actually mean are random celebrities…most likely from Japan or other parts of Asia as I hardly care much for the English culture. (Harsh, I know.)
Right right, enough of me rambling on. Let’s get started, shall we?
Let’s start with a little game then, all the pictures below will be common in something. No, the answer is not that they are all anime girls.
(From left to right: Lenalee [D-gray man], Tamaki [To Heart 2], Boota [Gurren Lagann], Rei[Marimite], Wilhelmina [Shakugan no Shana], Akiha [Tsukihime], Himawari [xxxHolic])
Again, no. The answer isn’t that they are all anime girls…or anime character. *Looks at Boota…*
If you don’t know the answer, congratulations; you still have a life.
People with a sense of logic could deduce that I’m talking about a seiyuu. (For those not very Japanese literate, Seiyuu = Voice actor.) People who are my kind would know that the answer is indeed. Itō Shizuka.
Why is she one of my favourite female of all time? Well, find out after the jump.
