A friend of mine alerted me to this trailer i’m about to post. I don’t have many words for it, but it looks better than Dragonball Evolution.

That picture of a cat is vomiting blood. AHAHAHAHAHA

Baku, oft called Sensei by his fans, is an integral part of the Jerkpop Crew and an incredibly sexy man. But how much do you know about him? How much do you REALLY know? Do you know his favourite kind of ice cream? What about his hobbies?

Well, now you will.

Damn PETA! I’m all about animal rights, but do they really have to do ridiculous crap like this?! Way to go about demonizing a nice, fun game like Cooking Mama just because it involves meat. Personally, I think it’d be a boring game if all the dishes I ever cooked were made with Tofu. I don’t know how they’re getting away with blatantly using Cooking Mama name, graphics and all. Maybe because it says “unauthorized PETA version”…?

Play the game at http://www.peta.org/cooking-mama/

Yay, The Internet Got Another One

We can all remember a month or two ago when Oprah’s forums got trolled. We have something else just as awesome, betraying people’s beliefs. Miley Cyrus’ youtube account was hacked, and someone posted a video saying that she had died. Here to give a better explanation is Sxephil:

The best part isn’t even the story, it’s the response videos that people posted. View them after the jump.

WANT!!!

This is one of the most beautiful cosplays I’ve ever seen! I want this dress and not just for cosplaying purposes! I should just do the ultimate nerdy thing and get married in Yuna’s wedding dress at an anime con….Otakon 2010 featuring Baku and Lan’s wedding….LOLZ! This is a silly frivolous post, so I’m going to pose the following questions:

If Baku and I were to get married at Otakon, would you come to our wedding? Keep in mind that as this is at a con, there’s a mandatory cospplay dress code. Who would you show up as? Would you behave appropriately or inappropriately? And would you ever consider getting married in cosplay at a con?

Twilight, Cosplay, WTF?!

November 11th, 2008 by Lan

So, perusing the forums for Ohayocon, in particular the cosplay thread. There was the usual Soul Eater, Phoenix Wright, Bleach, Naruto, but I have to wonder what the hell is Twilight doing in there?! I’m personally not a fan of the series (because of Stephanie Meyer’s terrible writing not because of the series’ popularity). I try to refrain from bashing it because I know so many people love it, and I don’t wish to die a painful death via rabid fangirls.

However, I cannot understand why the hell anyone would consider “cosplaying” as Twilight characters at an ANIME CON. THERE’S NO COSTUME INVOLVED! Okay, fangs and if you wanna go all out, contact lenses–boom! you’re a vampire. If you’re gonna be a werewolf in wolf form, I could possibly accept that; but for me, it’s not much different from a werewolf Halloween costume. And who’s going to be one anyway? Everyone’s going to either be Bella or Edward or one of his vampire relatives. How can expect anyone to recognize you as one of the characters when you’re wearing regular clothes? You could try replicating the outfits from the movie, but those aren’t any different from your own clothes.

Cosplay for me is distinctly looking like someone other than yourself, particularly a character from a game, anime, manga, or some other Japanese culture. Twilight does not fit into any of those categories. Of all the people you could cosplay as, why the hell would you choose to look like some uncreative, normal looking person from Twilight? And how would you “characterize” them besides going around being e-mo? Actually, what I really want to know is how you go around “dazzling” people? I may have just condemned myself writing this post, but oh well.

So I want you guys’ opinion: Do you think Twilight is a legitimate cosplay? Who would you rather see at an anime con: Darth Vader or a Twilight character? Why?
