As Kuro has been smelling, and as Axia has discovered, I’m trying for a resurrection of Jerkpop. Why would I do it? Who the hell do you think I am!? I am Baku, I will teach you about your penis, and I won’t let this site go out like a bitch. I am hoping to have more posts, better posts, and better podcast times that more people can participate. Kuro, you up for it? I know many people are, so let us rise to the occasion and jerk their pop. Or pop their jerk. Or Kuro their Sigue.
Ok, This was a lie. Due to collective interests, Jerkpop will be shutting down.
Nis might become a fansubber, Tube hasn’t stopped touching himself since feburary, Cyber34 has lost his keyboard (and that was the only keyboard in the Ukraine), Gia has a new site and a social life, I have a social life and i’ll be traveling alot during the summer, Ebzero never gave a shit, and Bakuryu is getting fucked over.
I had a fun time with jerkpop, as did the others when it was going strong, but our time has passed. I’ll be said to shut things down, but its better than cranking out shit. Maybe someday jerkpop will start back up, but for now, we’ve finished. Its been a good experience for me, and maybe i’ll start other projects. Who knows? We’ll all still be in the Japanator IRC anyway.
Why I call this almost the end is that Jerkpop will have a proper send off. There will be our 20th and final podcast, and I’m going to try and have everyone that was on the first ever podcast “Episode 00″, on the final podcast.
Jerkpop has a great deal of inactivity lately. We didn’t even record a podcast this week. Rest assured the podcasts will continue, and i’ll atleast make the occasional post. We don’t really have many readers though so… would it make a difference if we just shut down? i don’t know.
Another episode where we start off really good and then takes a sudden dive midway. So we are sorry about how boring it might be near the end if you decide to listen to this the whole way through. (Such a positive salesmen, aren’t I?)

A quickie here, Jerkpop has its Unofficial Official (or maybe Official Unofficial, or maybe just my) goal. Our new goal is to get our site so big, that Topless Robot’s(which is an amazing site by the way, if you don’t go to it 5 times a day, I SUGGEST YOU START) Rob Bricken would agree to be guest on the podcast. Wouldn’t this make us all orgasm in joy? It sure would make me. A side note, Japanator’s (also known as mother) Podtoid-San was over half Jerkpop tonight. So please listen to PTS 50 when it comes out. Cyber34 and I will be doing a co write up, which will be released after Jtor released the podcast.
Gia and I were talking earlier about other features for the site before launch, not content but features, and i had suggested a download page. As she is now snorkling, I am now browsing through Wordpress’s Add on and Widget directory, and found a few solid good ones i’ll be running by Gia when she gets back.

Hello, I’m Kurono-K, or Kuro, or Kimmy, or xMichu-Chanx, or Wright, or Donald MCdonald, or, to sum it up, your mom. I do all the planning, topic listings, getting people on, and other random things for Jerkpop. I guess maybe I could be called the Producer of it all. But, that doesn’t matter, what matters is WE HAVE OUR OWN SITE (or Wordpress… shut up). First off, big thanks to Gia for hosting this with her host and moneys. <3
Now, if you are not in the know, JerkPop is the way to pronounce JIRCP:UOPOIRCCW, which stands for Japanator Internet Relay Chat Podcast: the Unofficial Official Podcast Of the Internet Relay Chat Channel of the Website. So basically a bunch of Nerd on One Japanator readers decided to make a podcast, and thus came out JerkPop. We aren’t officially connected to Japanator but we are still their bastard children. We grew up and have our own site now, does that mean anything will change? I have no idea to be honest. The whole existence of JerkPop is shits, giggles, and random, so we’ll placy this by ear. I assure you our site will have content. What type, I’m not sure, but something.

Welcome to JerkPop, the bloggity blog blog home of…Jerk Pop. Which is short for JIRCPUOPOIRCCW. Which stands for the Japanator Internet Relay Chat Podcast: the Unofficial Official Podcast Of the Internet Relay Chat Channel of the Website.
In other words, a bunch of crazy-ass people from #japanator on irc.irchighway.net (which is the official IRC channel of the website Japanator) get together once a week and dish on pop culture, their lives, and whatever else we feel like. It tends to involve a lot of anime and porn.
Note that this site is in NO way officially related to Japanator. We don’t take credit for their shit and they don’t get to take credit for ours! But we do love them. They’re good peoples. …
So if you want to see what this whole Japanator thing is about, it’s basically a blog about Japan culture and other crazy stuff like that. Head on over there to check it out.
So far there has already been four episodes (including a special episode for valentine’s day) done for this podcast. I hope to put them up soon, or if you head over to this post on the Japanator Forums to download them without having to wait for me to mess around with all the ftp and get it on to the blog.
That’s pretty much it for now! I’m not sure where exactly we’d be going with this podcast and site, but I sure hope YOU will continue to support us!
