Let me tell you guys, the day after my little rant about Patapon not being available, 3 or 4 stores had the game in stock! Well, I went and got it and let me tell you, this game far exceeds my expectations. What I played in the demo doesn’t even cover half of what happens in the game. It’s definitely a must have for anybody who owns a PSP, unless of course you have no sense of rhythm whatsoever, in which case it might just end up frustrating you.
Anyone who knows me knows that I’ve been anticipating Patapon’s release for quite a long while. I played the demo all the way through three or four times, and it’s pretty much one of the only reasons why I got a PSP in the first place. Well, it was released just the other day and of course it still isn’t in most of the stores in Canada yet. The only places that would’ve had it in stock before release would be the game dedicated stores, like EBGames, but unfortunately as you can see, they’re overpricing the crap out of it.
The result of the overpricing in some stores and lack of stock in others is one depressed TubeOxen. As such, I couldn’t really think of much else to post about. Hopefully by the time I wake up tomorrow morning, the Future Shops and Best Buys will have a nice healthy stock in the stores closer to me so I can satisfy my hunger for delicious rhythm and war.
