Bones’ Annoying Kids

So I’ve been putting my money to good use and have been watching Bones’ new show “Xam’d: Lost Memories” on the PS3.

I know, I’m probably beating a freshly killed horse here, but heres my view.
So far the show is amazing. The animation is very “Bonesy” in that it’s very clean, clear and vibrant.
The story has my attention.

The voice acting is very nice.
And the music is dumbfoundingly awesome.
I’m serious when I say the music is awesome. I’ve had the OP song “Shut Up and Explode” by Boom Boom Satellites set on repeat in my car for the past 2 days now and it still hasn’t gotten old. And hell, I’m an Angelino(person from LA), we spend more time in the car every week than we do sleeping.

BUT, i do have some complaints…

Xam’d: Expensive Memories

I am utterly amazed that I haven’t seen anyone post on this yet (save Gia, but hey, it’s her job to do it). If you liked the opening from the Jerkpop Fail Episode, then you already love Xam’d. It was the opening (which I have so generously included in this post) that opened me to the series. The story (according to the little I’ve seen) follows a young boy named Akiyuki who lives on a peaceful island, claiming neutrality in the conflict enveloping his world. This neutrality seems to be in vain though, when a seemingly terroristic attack turns Akiyuki into a weapon named Xam’d, and almost instantly, his island is attacked by bio-weapons sent from one of the warring factions. This event gets him involved with a red-haired foreign girl named Nakiami, and the events are set in motion. I discuss my impressions, which really aren’t all that important, after the jump.
